10 athletes from the Perm region will go to the Olympic Games in Sochi. 

As the regional Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports informed, the Russian Olympic team included 10 athletes from Prikamye. 

The biggest representation of Permians is in luge. Selected for the Olympics were four sportsmen brought up in the Ogonyok Sports School of Olympic Reserves (Chusovoi). These are Tatyana Ivanova, Alexander Peretyagin (single sled), Vladislav Yuzhakov and Vladimir Makhnutin (cutter). 

Three athletes from Chusovoi will perform in freestyle. These are Regina Rakhimova (mogul), Alexander Smyshlyaev (mogul) and Sergei Mozhaev (ski cross). 

The snowboard team includes 2 athletes from Prikamye. These are Natalia Soboleva and Valery Kolegov (parallel slalom and parallel giant slalom). They also represent the Kemerovo Region in the parallel rating. 

In Nordic Combined (team competition), Evgeny Klimov will represent the Perm and Moscow Regions (parallel rating). 

The regional Sports Ministry noted that the Olympic team also includes 11 athletes who were born or trained in the Perm region. These are Albert Demchenko (luge), Maxim Trankov, Vera Bazarova and Yuri Larionov (figure skating), Anastasia Chirtsova (freestyle), Evgeny Garanichev, Ekaterina Shumilova and Ekaterina Glazyrina (biathlon), Andrei Volkov, Sergei Volkov and Ekaterina Stolyarova (mogul).

In total, the Russian Olympic team includes 223 athletes from all 15 sports.
