Perm region became one of the five Russian regions which will develop the dual education.
Today in Moscow, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Perm Region Nadezhda Kochurova signed an agreement on cooperation between the Perm Region, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Federal Ministry of Education, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Labor and the Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber in introducing elements of the dual system of education.
This year, the Perm Region participates in the project "Training of personnel that meet the requirements of high-tech industries, based on the dual education." The contest among the regions, held at the initiative of ANPO Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects, received applications from 23 regions of Russia. As a result, only five were selected, among them was the Perm Region.
- I think that for Prikamye, it is a great fortune to participate in such a project. It will help develop the region's economy, as the dual system is a combination of theoretical training in technical school with practical training in the company, which will help students gain deeper skills in their chosen profession. This is interaction of professional educational institutions and employer enterprises in raising the prestige of industrial and office workers, Nadezhda Kochurova said.
The dual education system involves the joint funding of training programs for a specific workplace by businesses interested in qualified personnel and regional authorities.
Prikamye has identified areas of labor training, on the basis of which the mechanisms of dual training will be tested, built on the principles of effective educational model in Germany. The region will benefit from advisory services of the World Bank, as well as receive administrative and methodological support from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and relevant ministries and departments of Russia. Schools of the Perm Region participating in the project will be given the status of federal innovation sites. Operator of the project is Perm Chamber of Commerce.
